Speaking on NTV after the National Prayer meeting, Passaris said that she wished the two leaders had attended the event.

She also said that she was grateful that Kalonzo gathered courage to attend the function despite his frosty relationship with Raila.

"I am sure today he felt the same way Raila did during the Harambee meeting. That time it was our leader meeting President Kenyatta alone. Today, he came alone to the event, unlike the other leaders. Though I really wish Mudavadi and Wetangula were also present," Passaris said.

Uhuru, DP Ruto, Kalonzo and Raila all agreed to work together to unite all the communities.

The leaders promised to forgive each other and forge ahead.

Kalonzo hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta for his commitment to fighting corruption in the nation.

This came after several officials from the National Youth Service (NYS) were arrested and arraigned in court over the alleged loss of sh. 9 billion. The head of state has maintained that no officer will walk away with money that belongs to the government.
