Nairobi ODM’s Women Representative aspirant Esther Passaris on Monday visited her rival and incumbent Rachael Shebesh who is admitted at Nairobi Hospital.

Shebesh was has been recovering from a broken limb for weeks now since the final day of Jubilee nominations.

During nominations, Shebesh, a former ODM nominated MP managed to beat her close rival Millicent Omanga, who has since been promised a senatorial nomination.

And Passaris, who had initially ditched ODM in 2013 for KNC said political rivalry is short term and could not affect long term relationships.

“Despite being my rival, I had a privilege to visit Shebesh at Nairobi Hospital. I am happy she is responding well to treatment,’ she said on her Facebook post.

“Political rivalry doesn’t affect our long-term, mutual relationship. I wish her quick recovery,” she said.

In 2013, Passaris emerged second in the race which Shebesh won by a wider margin but has since exuded confidence that she will carry the say in August.

Despite being in rival camps, both leaders had worked together in ODM prior to 2013 elections before going separate ways.
