Jomo Kenyatta Internal Airport runway was on Sunday evening closed for over 4 hours after an Aircraft from Somalia made an Emergency landing at the JKIA at 4.45 pm.
The information that was communicated by the Kenya Airports Authority in a statement on Twitter said the plane had four people on board and it landed on its belly and veered off the runway.
According to the statement, the four occupants were safe although the Airport management decided to redirect all incoming flights to other airports across the country.
Several passengers that were scheduled to take off from JKIA were left stranded.
The cause of the crash has not yet been established.
