Passengers of two buses have been left stranded in Keroka for more than 18 hours after the drivers were arrested for careless driving and causing obstruction.
According to the passengers who didn't want to be mentioned, they accused the two companies Simba and Vanga for not taking full responsible since yesterday .
"We have been here since yesterday (Wednesday ) after the two buses were arrested and nothing so far has been done," passengers said .
It was wise for us to be refunded our money so that we can look for another vehicle since we are expected to be in Mombasa to resume our daily duties," they added.
Confirming the incident North Masaba (Keroka) Deputy base commander Joseph Mutua said that the two buses were arrested after a tip-off on how they were speeding.
Mutua said that the drivers were found with two offenses, obstruction, and driving unroadworthy vehicles.
He added that the two were taken to court and fined Sh40,000 each.
