A case in which a Nairobi-based pastor is charged with obtaining money by false pretence will be heard in a Nakuru court on September 25.
Zachary Njoroge of Jehovah Jireh church was on Monday arraigned in a Nakuru court over the charge but denied.
Appearing before Nakuru chief magistrate Godfrey Oduor, Njoroge was charged that on diverse dates between February 22 and April 25, 2017 he received Sh600,000 from Jane Nduyu pretending that he was in a position to sell her second hand aeroplane engines.
Njoroge denied the charge and was released on a Shs 200,000 bond with an alternative of Sh150,000 cash bail.
The case will be mentioned on 25th September 2017.
