Church leaders from Nyamira County have challenged politicians to stop using youths in disrupting funerals and other functions within the county.
This comes after some youths allegedly used by politicians caused chaos on Friday at Nyaramaba during the sendoff of former North Mugirango-Borabu MP Geoffrey Masanya
Speaking to this write on Sunday, Pastor Ogentoto of Matutu PAG church during the baptism ceremony where more than five youths were baptized, Ogetonto condmend all those using youths’ in disrupting such functions.
Ogentoto said that this is the time politicians need to come together to preach peace and reconciliation rather than dividing Kenyans.
“It was shocking to find politicians using youths in disrupting the meetings more so in funeral like what we saw on Friday, let our politicians use their power in preaching peace rather than dividing Kenyans,” said Pastor Ogentoto.
In addition, he advised youths not to accept to be used by politicians or other indivudals for their personal gains.
“Youths don’t think that you are going to benefit whenever you cause chaos, instead you are going to be judged, so let us comer together and preach peace,” added Ogentonto.
