A priest has shocked worshippers after he was found dead in church.

The pastor had led worshippers at the Amazing Grace church in Malindi to mark Christmas on Sunday night.

Kilifi assistant county commissioner has said investigations are ongoing over the incident.

Worshippers said the man of God was in good shape during the Christmas eve celebrations where he danced and preached in high spirits.

They were shocked to wake up and get news of their spiritual leader's body dangling from the church's roof.

Police said they are investigation the pastor's last moves after marking Christmas with other worshippers.
