A man in Nyatike is reported to have been found dead after he was involved in a fight with a pastor.
The man, identified as Tobias Oyoo, is said to have confronted his friend Fred Ochieng’, who is also a pastor, after he found out he was having an affair with his wife.
Confirming the incident, Osiri chief David Oula said the couple had solved the issue in his office, but Oyoo later confronted the pastor after he was told he had been seen together again.
“Oyoo and his wife had just solved their marital problem at my office and were to move back home. The affair with the suspect was the main problem in the marriage,” said Chief Oula.
Oyoo is said to have gone all the way from Sori Town to Osiri to confront the two.
“He parked his motorcycle by the road and walked into the thicket where he found his wife and the pastor making out. A confrontation ensued,” Oula said.
Oyoo’s wife is said to have fled the scene after the two men engaged in a fist fight, and only reported the incident at the chief’s office later that night.
The chief then assembled a search team to look for the two.
“When the deep mine was inspected the man was found dead. He was pushed in and landed head first on sharp rocks," said the chief, as quoted by The Star.
Nyatike OCPD Dishon Chebaka said they have launched a manhunt for the pastor.
The woman is being held at Macalder police station.
