More than 300 families were affected after the dam, located in Manskul's farm, burst and swept away villages.

The victims are camping at the Solai High School where they sought refuge.

Patel has been donating milk and bread everyday at the camp as victims call for a 'proper compensation'.

"We are told he is the one giving us this milk and bread, but we want him to use his massive wealth to help us rebuild our lives," David Mburu said.

Solai Assistant County Commissioner Vicky Munyasia thanked Kenyans for their generous contribution.

“We are overwhelmed by the generous response from Kenyans who have donated food, clothing and beddings to the families,” Munyasia said.
