Nyando's Fred Outa said the commissioner's time was running out.

He said new IEBC commissioners should have taken over the electoral body's management.

Outa was speaking during the burial of former Gor Mahia and Harambee Stars coach James Siang'a in Ugenya, Siaya County on Saturday.

He said if government delays releasing the close to Sh200 million meant for the payment of the commissioners, he would mobilize MPs to demonstrate.

Parliament Speaker Justine Muturi said on Saturday it would be hard for the commissioners to leave office by the end of September as scheduled due to delayed release of funds.
