Kisii county residents have been urged to participate in county building by paying out taxes to enable the county to efficiently offer them services.

Speaking at Ogembo in Bomachoge Chache constituency on Wednesday during the development tour, the Kisii county governor James Ongwae said that it will be very hard for the county to give out services if the residents don't pay taxes.

The governor said that residents should acknowledge the fact that the county has 9 constituencies and 45 wards which all need to be offered good services.

“The county has always put measures in place on how to balance its services in all wards and so when you don’t see some services here, you should bear in mind that those services will be offered in the area regardless so there is no need of boycotting from paying your taxes since we need the money to delivery services efficiently to you,” said Ongwae.

He further added that his government has all measures in place to construct roads that are under the county government for each ward and also to add street lights in all towns.
