The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) secretary General Wilson Sossion has hit out at the Jubilee government to pay teachers if they wanted their support in 2017 general elections.
Sossion said there was nothing to show off in the education sector and therefore Jubilee must stop boasting about achievements they have not realised.
Sossion was speaking in Uasin Gishu County during a church service where he faulted the government of failing to keep their promises.
He cautioned the government to pay the teachers their money or forget their support in the 2017 general elections.
“Pay us our money before the general elections. We have been patient enough and if you forget to do this then forget about the teachers votes,” said Sossion.
He said the teachers have been patient enough and it was time the government returned the favor.
