Retired teachers in larger Gatundu has urged the government to pay them their pension.

The angry former teachers rebuked the government for not paying them their pensions despite a last year's High Court ruling ordering the government to pay them immediately.

Led by their chairman, John Mukoi, the teachers said that they have continued to suffer while the government is 'sitting' on their money.

"Today we are here in unison to condemn the Attorney General and the Teachers Service Commission because they have continued to take us round and round despite the court ordering the government to [ay us our dues," said Mukoi.

on Thursday at Gatundu Town where they held a meeting.

Mukoi urged the Parliament to take action against the AG saying that they no longer had confidence in him.

"We are very concerned because some of us has died in poverty despite working for the government. Since we held our first meeting here ten months ago, ten of our colleagues have died still waiting for the money," said Mukoi.

The teachers have now threatened to camp at parliament buildings day until the time the government will bow down to their requests.

Most teachers in the meeting retired between the year 1997 and 2007.
