Speaking in Thika town on Saturday, Kabogo said that there is a need for Kiambu residents to pay taxes to enable the government to complete many of the projects that are now stalled for lack of funds.

"As you know, we have a problem with our roads. I would like to request you to have a little patience. But as you do that, it is good to note that we don't have funds and we are still sourcing for them," said the embattled governor.

"This is the reason why you hear governors asking for more revenue allocation to the counties," he added.

The Governor has also said that the county government will soon be partnering with NGOs to enable them raise extra funds for development.

"We have to see ways of ensuring that we meet the promises we made to you and that is why we are trying by all means to raise funds," said kabogo.
