According to Anne Thuo, youths are endangered species when it comes to drugs and substance abuse in the society and therefore all stakeholders should come on board to ensure the menace is addressed.

Thuo, who lost some of her relatives due to drugs and substance abuse, said it pains her to see more youths losing focus in life.

“It pains to see more youths engaging in drugs and substance abuse and their future lost through the same. Personally, I have lost relatives a brother and a brother to my dad and that is why I am out to help youths shun the vice,” she said.

Virginia Thuo, a parent who also participated in the awareness walk on effects of drugs and substance abuse called on government and other stakeholders to collaborate in eliminating the vice in the society.

“I have a brother-in-law who was affected with drugs and therefore I feel it is a collective responsibility to combat this vice in the society,” she said.

More than 100 youths from P.C.E.A. Bethsaida in Egerton Njoro participated in the awareness walk on the effects of drugs and substance abuse.
