Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua on Friday urged Kenyans to support Jubilee government.

Kinuthia said that the Rift Valley region has experienced peace since President Kenyatta and His Deputy William Ruto teamed.

“The peace we have enjoyed here in Rift Valley has never been seen during past elections. That peace alone is reason enough to support Jubilee,” Kinuthia said.

The governor was in Londiani, Kericho County, to drum up support for Jubilee Alliance Party candidate Aaron Cheruiyot in the senate by-election race in the county Jubilee has fronted the youthful 31-year-old Cheruiyot who is battling it out with Kanu’s Paul Sang.

The by-election is set for March 7. Many parts of the Rift Valley such as Molo, Kuresoi, Londiani, Kipkellion and Burnt Forest have been rocked by tribal skirmishes during electioneering period.

“Let us not take this for granted, that is why I Kinuthia Mbugua I am working with Joseph Rutto to ensure that communities remain united,” Kinuthia added.
