Persons with disability in Nakuru County have saidthey will vie for various positions in the next general elections.

Among them is George Kioko who will vie for the senatorial seat, Jane Wairimu who will vie for the Nakuru women Representative seat, Peter Maritim who is looking forward to being the next Barut MCA, John Mugo who wants to be Molo Town Mca and Joseph Ndung’u who will vie for Menengai ward MCA seat.

Led by George Kioko, they asked all Nakuru constituents to support them in addition to asking security agencies to ensure their safety during the campaigning period.

"2017 elections are just around the corner. People living with disabilities in all corners of our republic will be vying for various positions. We are asking you for your support,"  said Kioko.

"We want IEBC to waive the fee as most people living with disabilities are poor and face a lot of challenges," said Judy Wairimu, one of the disabled persons.

In addition, they have thanked the president for selecting Dr David Ole Sankok, the chairperson of National Council of Persons with Disability to represent persons with disability in his campaign team stating that they will support him
