After many weeks of political uncertainty in the country over the swearing-in of NASA leader Raila Odinga as the people's president, the event finally took place on Tuesday, January 30 at Uhuru Park with the former Premier taking an oath of office.Raila’s swearing-in, however, took place after many weeks of planning with key opposition figures proving very decisive in the whole process.Economist David Ndii has been a driving force in NASA. And when he was given the responsibility to oversee the creation of people's assemblies, he never disappointed. There is no doubt that Ndii has been a key decision maker in all NASA affairs of late.Former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna has been synonymous with the National Resistance Movement wing of the coalition.Known for his combative approach to politics, Miguna has been a key coalition member. When it came to administering the oath to Raila, the Canada-trained lawyer alongside Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang took the role.Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has been the engine of lobbying NASA MPs to support the swearing-in of the coalition chief. Even though he is a first timer, the firebrand Senator has proved that he is a real political force.Siaya Senator James Orengo has been NASA's legal brain. The veteran politician has been a key figure in decision making in the coalition, especially on legal matters.Last but not least, Norman Magaya, the NASA CEO, has been the most vocal member of the coalition in the past few days. The 36-year-old has proved to be a real thorn in Jubilee’s flesh.
