Nakuru Woman Rep Liza Chelule joined other leaders in condoling the Lake Nakuru plane crash victims' families.
The Saturday morning accident claimed five young lives, Anthony Kipyegon, Sammy Gitau, John Mapozi, Veronicah Muthoni and Apollo Malowa (pilot).
"These were young and talented youths who had a bright future. We pray that God gives them comfort," she said.
Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui also sent his condolences to friends and families of the deceased.
"The loss of these five Kenyans is truly a big blow to the youth of this country. It is my hope that their lives shall inspire many more to dedicate their lives in serving Kenya and humanity in general," Kinyanjui said.
Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko joined other politicians in mourning the young Kenyans.
He said that some of those who perished were longtime friends.
Sonko described them as true patriots who enjoyed serving citizens. He also noted that the accident is a big blow to Jubilee and Kenya at large.
