They decry that the money is barely enough to sustain them, owing to the fact that they do not have ready market for their finished goods and costs for raw materials

According to Mary Nyokabi, the Founder of Daughters of Grace in Nakuru’s Mwariki area, the raw materials for making soap and bead works was becoming expensive.

‘We have very nice products but we do not have a market for them. Most of the time we are forced to use our own products due to failure to reach the market,” Nyokabi said.

She added that the increased meetings between Governor Kinuthia Mbugua and the residents should foster business relationships which would benefit persons living with HIV.

Nyokabi was speaking in Nakuru where she added that most people did not know about their products since marketing and advertising them is quite expensive.

“A full paged advert in a newspaper is about half a million. We cannot even manage since our finances cannot allow us to run such an advert. Yet, we need to build on our company’s profile,” she added.

She added that the meetings with investors from UK, Nigeria and Ethopia who have been frequenting the country should be introduced to their products.
