Nairobi governor Evans Kidero has once again poked holes in former Presidential candidate Peter Kenneth's candidature for the city's top seat during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Saturday during a church function, Kidero dismissed Kenneth's candidature as "inconsequential", expressing confidence in recapturing the seat.
He made fun of Kenneth's decision to vie as an independent candidate, following his heavy loss of the Jubilee Party ticket during the just concluded party primaries.
The former Gatanga MP lost to Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, who is seeking to unseat Kidero.
“But we welcome him. Kenneth is well on his way to becoming a Member of County Assembly,” Kidero noted.
“Let them (Sonko and Kenneth) know that they will lose and this time it will be beyond their comprehension,” he added.
Kidero is set to seek re-election on an ODM Party ticket.
Also in the race is former Opposition alliance NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga's aide Miguna Miguna (Independent).
