Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful Peter Kenneth has responded to Miguna Miguna’s remarks that he failed in high school.
The two are vying for Nairobi’s top elective seat. Kenneth is seeking the Jubilee party ticket while Miguna will be contesting as an independent candidate.
Kenneth said he never studied with Miguna Miguna at Starehe Boys Center and School as claimed.
The former Gatanga MP said Miguna studied at Onjiko Secondary School, and not Starehe Boys.
Kenneth said he excelled at high school and any interested party can visit the institutions he studied in to verify the results.
“He has not gone to Starehe to get my results or the Kenya National Examination Council. During my time at Starehe Boys during the time of Dr Griffins, nobody failed,” Kenneth said on Radio Maisha.
Miguna has been hitting at Kenneth ever since he entered the gubernatorial race.
He has accused the 2013 presidential aspirant of seeking governorship “to do business.”
“Those interested in doing business should continue doing business. There is no justification for one to enter politics or public service under the pretext that s/he wants to do business unless that is a clever ploy for wanting to use the governor’s office to steal and loot public resources,” Miguna posted on his Facebook page, referring to Kenneth’s candidature.
The outspoken lawyer has always taken on his political opponents, saying they are unfit to hold public office.
