Nairobi Jubilee Party gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth on Monday met aspiring leaders for various posts within the county, in a bid to woo them to back his gubernatorial bid.
The former Gatanga MP is the latest entrant into the Nairobi gubernatorial politics, and is leading a fraction of Jubilee leaders who are eyeing the influential seat.
“Today, I want this journey to send Kidero packing, we start together as one. We send him home and we be done with him,” he said.
At the same time, Kenneth has said he is ready to face off at the nominations with his competitors, and he will be contented with the outcome.
“If they say they don’t want to sit and talk, let them know from today that we are more than ready for nomination, “he added.
“Who will be doing the nomination, is it not you, and are you not the people? You are the people, we are ready for nomination anytime, any day, anywhere,” he went on.
The other team, Team Nairobi, led by Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko have accused Kenneth of receiving favouritsm from some quarters, and have vowed to ensure he will not get the ticket to vie on the Jubilee ticket.
The race is tightening with the elections only a few months away.
