After losing to Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko in the Jubilee party nominations, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth will be launching his candidature as an Independent candidate today.

Kenneth is set to unveil his team this afternoon after he lost to Sonko garnering 62,504 against the Senator who got 138,185 votes in the Jubilee primaries.

"We will be unveiling a campaign for all aspirants to learn from, our leader is preparing ahead of the official campaigns on May 28th," one of Kenneth's aides said.

The former Gatanga legislator had raised alarm over missing names of their supporters from Jubilee party register which had denied other electorates from voting during the exercise.

Kenneth later appeals Sonko's win saying the nominations were full of irregularity saying he did not concede defeat and the Jubilee party said it had received reports that there were people who infiltrated Nairobi primaries.
