On Wednesday, Kenneth accused his fiercest rival Senator Mike Sonko of engaging in insults, adding that he cannot engage in meaningful talks with him.

“There is no point in sitting with people who want to abuse you. You can’t have a decent conversation," Kenneth said as reported by the Nation.

The 2013 presidential candidate further told the county's Jubilee aspirants during a meeting at his Westlands office that his style of politics differs from Sonko's and thus will not engage in a war of words with the Senator.

"Stay the way you are and let people compare you to other leaders. If we start exchanging abuses here, what will people see?” He asked.

Kenneth said he was born in Nairobi and so knows it better than Sonko.

Nairobi County Assembly minority leader Abdi Guyu told the meeting that he prefers the use of the Jubilee register instead of the smart cards during nominations.

“I’ve heard issues about the cards that we really don’t trust them. I propose that we use the party register with names of members for the nomination exercise,” he said.
