Former Gatanga lawmaker Peter Kenneth now says that he still has political options despite suffering a setback in the concluded general poll.

Speaking to the media Tuesday,Kenneth who unsuccessfully vied for the presidency and the Nairobi gubernatorial positions in the 2013 and 2017 general polls respectively, bashed those who view his futile attempts as a doom for his political career.

He also rubbished claims that he entered the race for Nairobi eyeing the Central Kenya kingpin after President Uhuru Kenyatta, the current occupant of the seat, retires after the 2022 polls.

''Those who were looking at my candidature for Nairobi in the last poll as a preparation to take over as the Mt Kenya Kingpin are very wrong,I was just eyeing the moment. However,my loss does not mean that I am now out as 2022 is still very far and anything can happen along the way,'' he said.

Kenneth also pledged his willingness to cooperate with any leader who will emerge as the region don.

''I don't have a problem with anyone in Kenya, leave alone Central Kenya and I am ready to work with anyone,'' he said.
