Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Peter Kenneth has made headlines again after stating the he is not a project of National Super Alliance or Jubilee Party.
The 2013 presidential aspirant refuted claims of being used by the respective parties in a plot aimed at spoiling votes and using which ever means possible to win the gubernatorial seat.
Jubilee leader President Uhuru Kenyatta has been promoting Jubilee candidates especially Mike Sonko, who is also Kenneth’s rival for the gubernatorial position.
The President went on to tell Kenneth that he should stop his bid and support Mike Sonko along with his deputy Polycarp Igathe.
“I say to Peter, the people of Nairobi wanted Sonko. Let him get on with the job,” the President said as reported by The Standard.
Recently, Kenneth came forward to state that he has a right to compete for the gubernatorial seat while refuting claims of causing division of votes for the Jubilee party.
During an interview on KTN this week he expressed his desire to be the next governor of Nairobi
“I am not a project and I have not been planted by anyone. I was in Jubilee Party about a month ago and we had a sham nomination and that is why I left because I still had a vision for Nairobi,” said Kenneth.
