For the better part of Wednesday, conspiracy theorists intimated that Ndambiri was caught in a compromising situation in the ongoing Devolution Conference  at Kakamega.

But in an address to the media, Ndambiri said the viral video was not recorded in Kakamega and that he was a villain of extortionists a week ago.

"The video was recorded a week ago and not in Kakamega. It was embarrassing and what I need now is time with my family.

"I recorded the incident in Thika and I've come to check on the progress.  Those extortionists who dragged me their days are numbered," he said.

Earlier, police had indicated that investigations were underway to arrest those behind the ugly scenes.

But in the video,  Ndambiri is heard admitting that he'd been dating the woman,  who was reportedly married adding that he had even arranged to meet her family for dowry negotiations.
