A petition filed by Derrick Ngumu against Deputy Chief Justice Philomena and Justice Isaac Lenaola has been rubbished by a Kisii based political analyst Erick Monene who claimed it is politically motivated.
According to Monene the petitioner’s move to seek removal of the two top judges will be unsuccessful as he will not be able to substantiate his allegations.
Speaking in his office on Wednesday morning Monene said that it will be difficult for him to prove beyond doubt the gross misconduct of the duo.
“The petitioner has the tendency of seeking public attention as he has in the past tried to bar NASA Raila Odinga from running for president which didn’t succeed and I believe this one too won’t go far,” he added.
This comes after CJ called upon the political class to stop curtailing the independence of the Judiciary.
