We the resident of Kitutu Central ward seek the intervention of the County Government of Kisii to open Mwamogesa Dispensary.
Our prayer is based on the fact that it is the responsibility of government to facilitate Kisii county residents for economic growth. Our efforts to have this addressed have not been successful.
Geoffrey Tinega, the chairman of the dormant health facility committee petitioned the County Government to open the facility after the National Government handed over the project to the county, but all we have been getting are promises.
That is why we feel that the Kisii County Assembly is our only hope if this matter has to be sorted.
Our prayer is based on the following grounds: Expectant mothers in Kitutu Central ward, Kisii County are at risk when delivering at night due to the lack of health services in the area.
Mwamogesa/Ekiabarogi dispensary in Kitutu Chache South Sub County, meant to decongest Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital and Oresi health facility, was located in a catchment area of an estimated 5,000 people.
