Abraham Mutai who had one time filed a petition against Wanjala, has launched a fresh complaint against the judge with the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

According to Mutai, JSC which is mandated to hire the next CJ did not listen to his concerns and went ahead to interview Wanjala.

He is now calling for the fresh interviewing of Wanjala with consideration to the claims raised in his petition.

Mutai has questioned the integrity of Wanjala to be the next CJ owing to his track record.

The new developments come at a time when JSC resumed interviews for hiring the next president of the Supreme Court with Scholar Makau Mutua slated to face the panel alongside supreme court judge Jackton Ojwang.

Mutua is among applicants who were initially rejected by JSC but later allowed to face the panel by a high court ruling.
