Nyaribari Chache member of Parliament Richard Tong'i has said a number of petitions filed against a good number of elected leaders will hinder them from delivering to their electorates.

According to the MP the petitions are consuming much of their time instead of them starting to work on their promises and manifesto.

Speaking while meeting a number of his supporters at his home on Thursday the mp called upon IEBC to work diligently in any upcoming pols to avoid losers going to court to challenge the winners victory.

"In kisii alone all MPs are facing petitions in court and I have shared with a good number of them and they're stressed hence they can't deliver to their maximum," said Tong'i.

He called upon the local residents to stand by him and Jubilee government as a whole in the 'tough' times.

The MP is among the many elected leaders facing court cases challenging his victory.

The recently concluded elections is the first one in Kenyan history having elected leaders facing petitions in court with a major one leading to presidential results nullification by the supreme court.
