The Kenya government has been sued by eight survivors of sexual abuse committed against them during the post-election violence.
The eight accused the government of not being apologetic and not acknowledging them.
They filed their petition on Wednesday saying the government failed to protect their rights and never cared to apologise after their rights were violated. The victims said they demanded support from the government both psychological, medical and other kinds of support.
Victims picked one of them identified as Saida Ali to testify in the case will be before judge Isaac Lenaola as reported by The Star.
She is also the former executive director of COVAW.
Ali will also indicate how COVAW, under the direction she and her partners gave, worked to assist survivors obtain medical, psychosocial services and justice, states The Star.
