Through its chairman Samuel Githaiga, the board wants Mbugua to explain how the 600M was utilized.

Addressing the press in Nakuru town, Githaiga tasked Mbugua to explain why only 22 million was allocated to the hospital yet the National government sent 600million for the project.

He said the board has summoned Governor Mbugua to explain why the money was not channeled to the hospital.

"The National government allocated 600m for the construction of an ultra modern maternity and the money was channeled through the county government but only 22 million was given to us and this stalled the whole project," he said.

"The county government has been unable to explain where the money went to and we have therefore summoned the governor to explain to the board where the money is and to give us a way forward".

Githaiga added that they have all the design layout for the facility in place but delays in getting the cash has grounded them.
