Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Director of Communications Philip Etale is in mourning.
Through his official Twitter handle, Etale sent out a tweet on Sunday revealing that his father had passed on.
Etale however did not reveal more about his father's sickness that eventually led to his demise while still receiving treatment in an unnamed hospital.
"At exactly 6:15pm, son of the soil, my mentor, my source of inspiration, my friend and my father went to be with the LORD. I am gutted," tweeted Etale.
Etale however through an earlier tweet on Sunday had hinted that his father was sick citing that he was in bad shape.
"Dear Lord, he is the only parent I am left with. He is in bad shape today. I leave him in your ABLE hands OH GOD," Etale tweeted early Sunday.
Etale's loss comes at a critical time when NASA coalition has set to swear-in Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka on Tuesday, January 30th.
Etale has not revealed more concerning his loss and funeral arrangements and is expected to do so in the course of time.
