The Communication Director of Orange Democratic Movement, Philip Etale, on Thursday took a step back to revisit how the Supreme Court judges conducted themselves during the election petition.

Etale believes the apex court judges were intimidated by the president which made them dismiss election petition cases in favor of President Kenyatta.

“In Kenya, the judge would be told; we shall revisit, then change tune,” tweeted Etale in reference to Thuli Mondosela winning her case against President Jacob Zuma.

The Supreme Court had initially nullified President Kenyatta August 8th Election on ground that the presidential polls were never conducted in accordance with the law.

President Kenyatta reacted angrily by threatening the Chief Justice and his team saying he will revisit the judges’ ruling after he was re-elected for his second term.

Etale believes it was the president’s comments that sparked fear in judges making them run away from their integrity in October 26 election petitions.

Maraga and other Supreme Court judges unanimously dismissed three election petition cases filed by former Kilome MP, Harun Mwau and two Human Rights leaders; Njonjo Mue and Khelef Khalifa, saying their petitions lacked merit.
