Witeithie Estate residents in the outskirts of Thika town have benefited from a mobile clinic donated by USAID in partnership with a Non Governmental Organisation Aphia Plus Kamili.

The area has been without a public health facility and women have been giving birth in their houses while Thika Level Five Hospital has been overstretched.

Kiambu County Public Health officer Flora Gakui had earlier promised the area MCA Peter Muiruri that she would find a facilitator before the proposed hospital is established.
