A file photo of a three-time Olympic champion Vivian Cheruiyot running barefoot has excited Kenyans online.
Cheruiyot who recently won the London Marathon posted the photo on her official Facebook page. She is celebrating over 20 years of being in athletics.
The photo was taken in 1999 when Cheruiyot won her first athletic event when at the age of 15.
“As I celebrate 20 years running, I will post some of my favorite photos from those 20 years, one per day every day for the next month. I hope you like them," posted Cheruiyot.
The photo has excited netizens who have also joined Cheruiyot in celebrating her achievements.

Sammy Karuga, another Facebook user inquired about a female journalist who was standing next to Cheruiyot her in the photo.
“Is that Elizabeth Ombege? The then Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation (KBC)? asked Karuga.
