A spot check within Kisii town, Suneka showed several people adults and children lining up to take photographs.

A photographer Erick Mokandu said he started Christmas preparations in November.

"I started buying flowers, decorations and background curtains in November. I have managed to take photographs of 800 people at a cost of Sh50 each unlike in the past when one photograph cost between Sh20 - 30," he said.

Robert Bichanga said the turn up at his photography studio in Kisii town was high.

"We have made profits because the turn up was high. We are hoping for a higher turn up on January 1, 2018," he said.
