The young athletes wowed the huge crowds that turned up to witness the historic events, with the IAAF tweeting twice on the mamoth crowd that attended the event on Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday in particular, the crowd at the stadium was huge, with other spectators turned away after the ground was filled to capacity.
