Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday took part in the 5 kilometers race that was a curtain raiser for the Eldoret City marathon.

The DP accompanied with other top government officials among them Governors Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu), Alex Tolgos (Elgeyo Marakwet), Josphat Nanok (Turkana), Stanly Kiptis (Baringo) and Ann Waiguru (Kirinyaga) participated in the cooperate race.

The Deputy President later planted a tree along th river Sosiani, being inline with the theme of the Marathon, 'Clomate Action.
