Deputy president William Ruto has today met elected leaders from Muranga County in Nairobi.

The meeting, which is likely to be seen as DP Ruto’s move to consolidate the support of Central Kenya voters, happened at the Karen home of the deputy president. Ruto hopes to inherit the support of Uhuru Kenyatta, who is set to retire in 2022, if the pending petition at the Supreme Court uploads his election.

The Muranga leaders were led by Senator Irungu Kangata and Women Representative Sabina Chege.
