Homa Bay women rep Glady Wanga has claimed that her vehicle was shot at by unknown on Monday during the anti-IEBC demonstration.

According to Wanga, the vehicle of her Kissii counterpart Janet Ongera was also shot at. 

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Wanga said that people dressed in police regalia chased her car as shewas trying to access the city center to join other NASA leaders for demonstrations.

“The police targeted me today. I was with honorable Ongera. They chased us, shooting at us and threw teargas canisters towards my car,” stated Mrs Wanga as quoted by kenyans.co.ke.

“During the demonstrations in town, we noticed an X-trail with men on the sunroof chasing us. They chased us from Kijabe street to State House road, firing at us,” she added.

She added that the unknown assailants trailed her up to her residential home alongside Ongera.

“We changed cars and got away with honorable Ongera’s car. They traced us down and followed us again shooting at us.This was an attempt to kill me,” she said.
