The locals have exclusive photos that prove their case that someone's plot has been turned into a dump site while the county government continues to cast a blind eye on the development.

"We are suffering due to the smoke that comes from this area and it is affecting our children’s chest. In addition, the smell is unbearable and always having flies in our houses," said one of the locals.

"When it rains the area is a breeding place for mosquitoes.Other dumping places in Maweni, Shauri Yako & Kongwea have been closed but this has not.We are wondering what we should do so that people to stop dumping here and the county to clear the dump site," he added.

Mombasa county is yet to respond to the accusations as many more locals continue to blame Joho's administration of poor waste management in the Coastal town.
