[Photo: Ali Hassan Joho/Facebook]Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho has inaugurated an eleven aside, FIFA standard Astroturf Uwanja wa Mbuzi stadium in Kongowea, Nyali Sub-county. The stadium is equipped with lavatories, changing rooms, canteen, flood lights and cafeteria sections with a sitting capacity of over 3,000 people. During the Friday night unveiling, a football game was played, to officially open the stadium."⁠⁠⁠It was fun galore last night at the inauguration of Uwanja wa Mbuzi Mini Stadium in Kongowea as we played the maiden match between the Mombasa Legends and Team 001," Joho said after the event.The pitch is a boost to sports and talent in the Coastal county, even as Joho said his government will continue supporting local talent."We will continue to develop such world class facilities around the County, to nurture the sporting talents of our youth and make them be competitive globally in the sports industry," Joho indicated.
