The situation at Suswa road from Friday evening has been a big nightmare for motorists and also remember this is the same place that the road cracked and left a rift.
As of Saturday evening, 6 cars were swept away in flash floods along the Narok – Mai Mahiu road at Suswa with motorists stranded in traffic for several hours.
According to Narok governor Samuel Ole Tunai, he is working with his Kajiado counterpart Joseph Ole Lenku to upgrade the now dreaded road.
"Governor Joseph Ole Lenku of Kajiado and I have also agreed to lobby the national government for the upgrade of the Ngong - Suswa road to bitumen standards," said Ole Tunai.
Most of the vehicles plying that route have been defaced by the rocky-muddy roads, and also the flash floods.
Kenyans also took to social media to raise their plight on the road that is now a no-go zone for motorists, with most of them opting to use the Nakuru route.

17:00 @ntsa_kenya The usual break at Suswa. Leaves a lot to be desired. Does Kenya have any road engineer? Just one to advise on road construction! via @Weito_FM— Ma3Route Counties (@Ma3RouteCounty) April 13, 2018.
