Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo is among Kenya’s wealthiest politicians.
The former county boss owns a number of state of the art machines including helicopters.The Kiambu politician recently bashed critics who argue that he enriched himself through unscrupulous illicit drug deals and massive corruption. "The drugs claims are pure rubbish, total nonsense. Why do they only come up during the elections? Why are they not talking about them now when there is no election?" said Kabogo during a TV interview Wednesday, last week.He maintained that he is a hard working Kenyan who has investments in the car dealing business."Hard work is the source of my wealth. I'm a businessman with interest in various sectors. Most people don't know that in the year 2000 no one in Kenya used to import more vehicles than me. At the age of 38, I could import a vessel full of vehicles from Japan," he said.The outspoken politician owns two palatial homes at Nyali in Mombasa, and Windsor in Kiambu County.His son Alvin Kabogo once shared the rare images of his father’s expensive compound at Windsor.Here are some of the images he shared:
