Born Paul Ongili but fondly known to many as Babu Owino the long serving University of Nairobi student leader is a man of many faces and controversy.
Owino recently pulled is politics in parliamentary battles after wining ODM primaries for Embakasi East constituency seat.

He is also credit with creating 2017 election hottest word 'Tibim' which has a remarkable punch but no one has the real meaning of the locution.
However despite his controversial utterances and lifestyle, Owino is a husband and a father to a one-and-a-half-year-old girl.

Owino speaks fondly of his wife Fridah Owino who he meet seven years ago while they were both students at the UoN.
"It was life at first sight, I just saw her and knew she was the one. She is beautiful and intelligent and I knew I had to get her before other men did," he said.

Babu said they dated for three years before finally making their union official in a small exclusive ceremony. He however says he keeps Fridah out of his political campaigns.
