It has emerged that Raila Odinga and other NASA leaders are warmly embracing what they have openly asked supporters to resist. NASA CEO Norman Magaya had announced plans to add more companies on the list of those to be boycotted by opposition supporters, but this move is likely to fail. Weeks after rallying supporters to boycott Safaricom, the mobile phone provider’s shares have gone up by 3.88% per share, up to Sh26.75 each — an all-time high. This market data, released on Tuesday, shows that supporters of Raila Odinga have embraced products on the boycott list more, instead of resisting. Just yesterday, a Kenyan lady, reportedly from the former Central province working in Zanzibar, shared revealing photos of her and Raila Odinga, saying that was how she celebrated the resignation of President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.

Siaya Senator James Orengo, also Raila’s lead lawyer, is still with his wife Betty Murungi, who is from Central.

Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, a NASA principal, seemed to have embraced his wife, from Central Kenya, even more, despite the boycott call and domestic fights that led him to report her to the police.
All these examples show that NASA bosses are not leading by example. They are misleading their supporters, who are now smart enough to see through the doublespeak.
