From being a celebrity and darling of Kenyans in an overnight, Martin Kamotho Njenga alias Githeri Man may be back to his normal old life on judging from photos that are circulating online.
Githeri man is not a new name to Kenyans.
He came into the limelight during the August general election when he was photographed carrying and eating Githeri in a polythene bag as he comfortably queued to vote.
Within hours, his photo went viral and it was all over the internet leaving a majority of Kenyans talking about him while he was nicknamed 'Githeri Man', which earned him a true national fame.

The 41-year-old father of one was by then working as a sweeper at the Nairobi City Council office in Dandora and his life rapidly changed as he landed lucrative deals with mega companies including Safaricom.
Kimotho was soon recognised by President Uhuru Kenyatta and was awarded Head of State Commendation during last year's Jamhuri celebrations as he received a wardrobe makeover from Uhuru Kenyatta’s designer.

To further sweeten the fame, Kimotho was given a land in Karen courtesy of Ngong Crescent real estate firm.
However, the photos of Kimotho at a local dingy club taken on Saturday where it seems he might have been enjoying drinks just before the photo was taken has emerged and Kenyans have been left disappointed with the sudden fall from Grace to grass.
